A Day In The Life
At Cobalt & Sapphire, we have a large hat collection that we rotate through throughout the day. There’s the obvious creative hat, the accounting hat, the customer relations hat, the operations hat, and the list goes on. If you are a business owner, you understand that no two days are the same but the one thing each day has in common is that we wear a lot of hats. Running our creative studio consists of much more than playing around on photoshop all day. Here’s a glimpse into a day in our lives:
Carolline’s Day
Monday, April 26th, 2021
7:45am – 8:30am: Wake up, make bed, wash face, and put on my uniform: sweat suit
8:30am – 9:30am: Morning call with Sofia
9:30am – 9:45am: Emails
9:45am – 10:45am: Review the day’s social media posts & schedule them
10:45am – 11am: Engaging & building following on Instagram for @brilliancewithjonnyrtiz
11am – 11:30am: Eat lunch + do daily sudoku
11:30am – 1:30pm: Create May social media calendar + content for @bellevuechamber
1:30pm – 2:00pm: Brainstorm call with Sofia about May social media content for other social media clients (When it comes to creating content, I like to focus on one client per day)
2:00pm – 4:30pm: Wrap up Measure Twice Financial website and make it mobile compatible
4:30pm – 5:00pm: April bookkeeping for Cobalt & Sapphire
5:00pm – 6:30pm: Play tennis with Steven
6:30 – 7:00pm: Shower
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Dinner + Family Time
8:00pm – 9:30pm: Watch tv
9:30pm – 11:00pm: Read (Current book I’m reading: The Disappearance of Stephanie Mailer)
11:00pm – 11:30pm: Write tomorrow’s to-do list and get ready for bed
Sofia’s Day
Wednesday, April 28th, 2021
7:30am – 8:00am: Wake up, shower, enjoy some selfcare: gua sha, jade roller, eye masks
8:00am – 8:30am: Morning Armenian coffee with my hubby while we lay out our schedules for the day
8:30am – 9:30am: Morning call with Carolline
9:30am – 10:00am: Prep for my podcast recording with Mike Connolly from Windermere
10:00am – 11:00am: Record Episode #9 of PNW Mike Check, today’s guest Dana Adams
11:00am – 11:30am: Catch up on emails and misc tasks
11:30am – 12:30pm: Lunch with my grandma, she made one of my favorite Armenian dishes, tabouleh!
12:30pm – 1:15pm: Call with Peter and Narine from The Paros Foundation about upcoming projects to post about as well as content for email newsletter
1:15pm – 1:45pm: Engage with followers & build following for @wearekirkland
1:45pm – 2:15pm: Call with client – they end up committing to a new website, yay!
2:15pm – 2:30pm: Send new client contract, along with links for them to purchase a domain & hosting
2:30pm – 2:40pm: Get outside on the balcony to get some fresh air while I facetime Carolline to celebrate our newest client win!
2:40pm – 4:00pm: Work on The Paros Foundation email newsletter so it can be ready to send out tomorrow
4:00pm – 5:00pm: Start editing the podcast from earlier today
5:00pm – 6:00pm: Go for a walk around the neighborhood
6:00pm – 8:30pm: Dinner and quality time with Eric
8:30pm – 9:45pm: Tidy up and clean the house (I get a burst of energy at night and I love cleaning at this hour!)
9:45pm – 10:45pm: Give in and watch the first episode of the new season of Handmaid’s Tale
10:45pm – too late: Regret watching something so riveting late at night, toss and turn until I eventually put on a meditation app and fall asleep
